Rules
Heart of TN USBC Women’s Senior Tournament Rules
1. Entries will be open to 2023-2024 Heart of TN USBC Female sanctioned bowlers over the age of 50.
2. The Heart of TN USBC Women’s Senior tournament will be held at Strike & Spare on April 20th and 21st 2024. Each entrant shall use their BOWL.COM Heart of TN USBC 2022-2023 Composite average based on 21 games or more. If no 2022-2023 average, the entrant shall use their Heart of TN USBC current composite average as of April 20th 2024 of 21 games or more. If none of the above exist, the bowler will bowl scratch. The composite average includes summer.
3. Entry fee will be $22.00 per bowler, per event (4-person Team, Doubles and Singles). Optional All Events entry will be $4.00. Optional Singles Scratch entry will be $5.00. Breakdown as follows: Lineage $11.00; prize fund $9.50; tournament manager $1.50. No entry will be accepted without bowling entry fees.
4. The tournament will consist of three events – 4-person Team, Doubles and Singles. Entrants may bowl in any or all events. Multiple participation will be permitted in Team, Doubles and Singles events. Team event with no more than two of the same members on a team and no more than one of the same members on a doubles team. The first score bowled in each event will count towards All Events score. An individual can only cash one time in the Singles Event and Optional Singles Scratch.
6. In case of a tie for team co-champions will be declared in prize money will be divided equally.
7. Team captains are responsible for correct averages. Incorrect averages are cause for disqualification without a refund of entry fee. USBC rule 319a-3 will apply. The Team Captain will list the bowlers on the entry form in the order in which they will bowl. No change in lineup will be permitted.
8. USBC rules shall govern the tournament. USBC rule 319a.2 (10 pin increase) and 319e (15 pin increase) and 319d (Reporting of Prize Winnings) will be waived.
9. The handicap will be 90% of 220. Handicap is subject to re-rating at the discretion of the Tournament Manager.
10. All prize fees will be returned 100% to the participants (payout ratio will be based on number of entries).
11. The tournament manager has the right to reschedule bowling times to fill schedules. In case of machine
breakdown with undue delay, the game may be continued on any pair of lanes with each bowler receiving two
practice balls on each pair of lanes.
12. Bowlers must check in with the tournament official 30 minutes prior to bowling. Tardy bowlers may bowl beginning with the frame being bowled—no make-up frames will be allowed. In case of an emergency, any team failing to show at their scheduled time, may be rescheduled with the approval of the tournament committee.
13. Lanes will be assigned by computer program or Tournament Manager.
14. Computer printouts will be the official score. Bowlers will be responsible for watching their score. Only a Heart of TN USBC officer or director will be allowed to adjust scores.
15. The decision of the tournament committee shall be final unless an appeal is made in accordance with USBC rule 329. The Tournament Manager will accept corrections of scoring errors up to 24 hours after the end of the last shift.
